Underway now

The centre is getting a makeover

Southwest Center is midway through the biggest set of improvements since it was built — a new look from the highway, a sign you can read at 65 miles an hour, and a safer way in and out.

In progress

A complete exterior makeover

The building is being repainted end to end, with refreshed storefronts across every suite.

In progress

Signage, three times the size

The monument sign on Hwy 290 is being enlarged to three times its current size, giving every tenant far greater visibility from the highway.

Applied for

A traffic light at the entrance

An application is in process for a signal at the centre’s Hwy 290 entrance, which would make turning in and out significantly easier in both directions.

Planned

A back deck over the pond

Amici is planning a deck behind the restaurant, where diners will look out over the pond under the stars.
